Because it's easier to come by when you're making dinner in a dash I also added diced tomato to mine, so diced tomato + ketchup comes pretty close to tomato sauce. You should, of course, really substitute it for tomato puree or sauce.
are you kidding unless theres a burger an frys involed ketchup should be no were near a noodle it's sacralige, its' blasfumy, its just, just, yyyyuuuuuuuukkkkkkk!

Haha! I know, I know...my bad. But it really does come handy as a substitute when you haven't got tomato paste/sauce. Plus when you throw in the extra tomatoes, stock and Worcestershire, it tastes like you've been slaving away making your own tomato sauce from scratch
