I always feel a little foolish when I happen to get cut/injured when cooking, especially when I realize afterwards that it could have been preventable. But hey--It happens, even if it doesn't happen frequently. At least you knew what to do as soon as you got cut. And your eggs florentine looks like it turned out very well, too!

*Sigh* I know the feeling. And I have this thing where I always remember how the point of contact between knife blade and finger felt. It lingers and keeps replaying in my head :D
Thanks!

You are sooo not going to regret it! Worth every single calorie and the odds of contracting a stomachache :D

I had a mental debate with myself on whether I should make eggs Florentine or eggs Benedict. The former is a tad bit more photogenic :D

Thanks! It's weird getting a cut after a long time being injury-free. Ah well, I guess now I have a reason to wear childish looking band-aid to school.

You might try the variation called Eggs Montreal which substitutes Salmon (pronounced "samon", the "L" is silent) for the Spinach.

I'm rather surprised you didn't go for stitches... I've never chopped myself in the kitchen but I've had people who offered to "help" do so - most disconcerting having someone jumping about in the kitchen yelling and spraying blood everywhere - it usually brings a swift close to the evening and the time to make the trip to the hospital ruins the half-cooked food prompting a side trip to Burger King on the way back...

:D
